Krooked Kaps Productions was born in 2007 in Moline, IL. The label was originally started as the name of the group (now) known as The Kaps. After releasing one mixtape as Krooked Kaps Productions, the group shortened their name to The Kaps. Krooked Kaps Productions then became the independent label behind the group.

Between 2007 and 2009, The Kaps have been working on new music and performing shows in and around their home. Steve and Troy, the co-CEO's of the label, have been been busy putting their time and money into Artistic Minds Studios, the driving force behind the label. With all of the resources of the studio at the disposal of our artists, they are able to have the highest quality recordings, photography, graphics, and promotion, all in house.

In fall of 2009, Krooked Kaps Productions signed three new artists to the label. Currently, the label is home to Beijing, Roberto Ramon, Hell-Boi, and Twan Jilla. We also signed DJ K Yung as the official DJ of the label. Krooked Kaps Productions has quickly emerged as the leader in the Iowa/Illinois area because of our professionalism, talent, and unending quest for individuality and success.
